How do I remove MailShield.der from Outlook 2010

My Outlook 2010 was working (mostly) fine until I imported MailShield.der. Now I cannot receive incoming messages.

HOW DO I UNDO THIS AND REMOVE IT FROM MY OUTLOOK 2010?

In Outlook 2010.
File>Options>Add-ins

At the bottom, “Manage Add-ins”
Select [COM Add-ins], then hit Go.
untick Avast add-in.
See if that helps with your immediate problem.

You could try to add that Avast add-in again, to see if the problem remains or if that re-insertion fixes it.

I have had problems with the add-in in the past, but not recently (touch wood).

Many thanks! Outlook 2010 with SSL and Avast are not good friends! I have also gone to the Geek:area and turned off SSL and set incoming ports to 110 with no SSL in Outlook.
