how do I remove the license, then re install it? after wiping hard drive?

I have Avast internet security installed and licensed, I need to wipe the hard drive reinstall the O/S and reload all the programs. how do I un license Avast so I can put it back in? I do not want to lose this license.

Delete the device from your account
Download the license file
Install the OS, drivers and such
Install avast
Use the license file
