My subscription expired a couple months ago and now every couple hours I get a popup “reminding” me to renew, minimizing anything I might be doing in order to pop up in front of everything. I can’t count how many times that’s interrupted me in gaming online or doing homework or even just watching a movie.
So: How do I stop the “reminder” popups from occurring? Besides resubscribing, that is. I have no money to spare on it at present. In fact, even if I did, I’m not sure I’d want to resubscribe after all these popup annoyances; they’ve actually driven me away from the product as opposed to convincing me to resubscribe. So if there’s no way to disable them, will I have to just uninstall and be done with it?
i suppose they keep reminding u to resubscribe as an expired protection leads to Avast! not protecting u? (i dunno if an expired Avast paid version will still protect u as i am using the free version, but most paid solutions completely stop doing so until u pay, thus essentially ur completely unprotected. therefore it is very important to warn u about it - loud and clear)
that said, if u do not have the money now, just install the free version. it does a gd job in covering u in the meantime
Since your subscription expired a couple months ago, with it your Virus Definitions update also stopped, so your Virus Definitions and Program Updates are also a couple of months out of date. That is what all of the warnings are all about your system isn’t secure.
Having an out of date security application is not quite as bad as not having one, but it is a close run thing.
So as I see it you really have three choices, renew your subscription, use the avast free version or uninstall the program.
