How do I "ungrey" the preferences so I can quit the program?

Hi,

I wish to be able to quit the program and agent but it is greyed out. I have read that I need to change the persistent setting under the preferences but that is greyed out as well. How do I ungrey the preferences so I can ungrey the “quit the program”?

Which is your operational system?

I assume you are using the Mac edition. Uncheck “Launch on startup as a persistent application” in the avast preferences.
