How do you find out why a site was blocked?

Some websites load then stop working, if I turn avast off they start working (but I don’t want to do that!).

I get no pop up and I’ve looked and I can’t find any part of the UI that tells me what it’s done and why!

I found C:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Avast\log but a search fails to find the host names or IP addresses

Is there a log somewhere that lists actions its taken, or a setting I have to turn on for it to tell be what its doing on my computer?

Do you have avast firewall?

There is a bug in Portscan, try turn it off

Avast UI → Protection → Firewall → Settings → Advanced → Uncheck “Enable automatic port scan detection”

Any change?

So I thought it was the AntiVirus that I cant find the logs for but its the Firewall that does have logs in the UI but wasn’t showing any blocks. I turned on “Log all blocked packets” and the IP is being blocked in and out with the rule stating “IP Blocked” but the “Show rule” is greyed out. How do I find out why it was blocked?

Did you read my post? Did you try my suggestion?

Hi Pondus, yes that appears to have worked thanks.

I only just got a email notification of a reply just 5 minutes ago and somehow didn’t see your original reply - sorry.
