How do you register Mobile Security for Android (Free) with your Avast account ?

I have the Free version of Avast installed on Windows and Android. My account shows my Windows version is registered so I followed the instructions on the Secure Another Device (https://my.avast.com/en-us/#devices/add) page to install it on Android. After it installed I tried the instructions given on registering but there Step 2 did not work. The installed version is 6.15.1 and I am using an Amazon Fire tablet.

How to connect your device to your Avast Account:

  1. Install and open Avast Mobile Security
  2. Swipe right to the “TOOLS” tab
  3. Tap on “Avast Account” and follow the instructions

I actually don’t see any way on the Mobile version to access My Account. What am I missing ?

Hi, these sound as procedures for an old version of our app.
In the current 6.15.x version and higher, you need to turn on the Anti-Theft, to make the device appear in My Avast accoung.
