I would like to know how the ADNM interacts with the client PC’s. We have been having major performance issues on serveral of our customer networks using this.
The issues are the the pc’s slow down to a crawl, at first we thought it was the AVAST managed version installed on the computer, after uninstalling it it made no difference, however once we uninstalled the ADNM off the server performance on the client pc’s was back to normal.
We have had this issue on the last 3 roll outs. Typical setup for our customers is 10-30 pc’s using the automated method.
That is strange indeed!
The thing is, by default, the communication is done only from the clients to the server (not vice versa). So, I don’t really see a way how the AMS could in any way cause a PC to slow down, if the managed client is not installed on it.
Thanks for the reply. The managed client was indeed installed on the machine, but in order to troubleshoot we had uninstalled it. The issue can be duplicated. We notice the process SVCHOST.exe using almost all of the cpu and about 100MB of memory. This was happening on every machine after the managed client was pushed out.
