How i can disable a drive, in [resident standart shield scanning].

Hi, …

I have = Vista x64 Ultimate French Canadian, Avast 4.8.1229 Fam. French.

How i can disable a drive, in [Systray| Avast | Manage resident protection | resident, standart shield scanning exclude section].

It’s because i use the “F:” Drive for ReadyBoost.

(Avast scan “f:” drive, each-time it read on that drive and write on that drive) then i whant to exclude the F: drive and other drive, like A: B: and others drives for scanning.

Yes, use the Standard Shield exclusion list.
You can write down:
F:*

I don’t know if that should be F:* you could try both.

However, you need to exercise care as the USB ready boost device is removed, then any other USB storage device would also be excluded as it would take up the f:\ drive letter.

Yeah…
Maybe you can add just the ready boost file itself to the exclusion list.

Hi, …

Maybe you can add just the ready boost file itself to the exclusion list.

Thanks, …

I use now =

?:\ReadyBoost.sfcache

That is much better, I hate seeing potentially big holes in system defence with the exclusion of a whole drive, especially in the current climate of USB infection…
