I’m pretty bad when it comes to computers and at the suggestion of a friend am considering downloading sandboxie. Is it a decent program? And what about passwords. Will they be saved?
Sorry if the questions sound stupid but I’m curious.

Heres an malware test on sandboxie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnVZ4uAz55I
If passwords get secured, i dont know. But i think so.
Hi, my opinion it’s a great program.I bought the lifetime license several years ago.
Are you referring to your browser saving passwords? No they will not be saved in the default install. When you empty the sandbox everything is deleted from your browsing session. You can however go into sandboxie’s settings and change the configuration to allow such things. Hope this helps.
I also use the program and highly recommend it. And yes you can make exclusions for stored web browser passwords if you wish. The Sandboxie help webpage should be your first stop to getting yourself familiar with the program and how to use it. I suggest you start there, should answer most of the questions you might have about the program:
Just to add, every exception you make to sandboxie configuration can lower it’s protection capabilities .
Sandboxie is the best free sandbox i own, easy to use (i didnt figure the IU at first), good for running unsure files checking unknown emails (run browser in sandbox) etc and then gives the option the delete the sandbox, also if a malware is left in the sandbox it allows your antivirus to quarantine it, the only thing is the site list avast as a known conflict program
http://www.sandboxie.com/?KnownConflicts
Since you’re run Sandboxie and avast! what conflicts have you noticed and how did you resolve them ???
Well ive come across only one conflict but i dont think its from avast, sometimes when i restart my pc, sandboxie refuses to run stuff in sandbox , saying the program is not a valid win32 program, but after a few restarts (some say its related to windows update and settings change) its back to normal
