At me such situation, has decided to make online check by different antiviruses. Through a Rambler has come on, further has entered e-mail (as I have understood all equally what to enter) loading of a file has begun, with the explanatory " If you for the first time scan the computer, it is necessary for you to load elements ActiveX (the technology, allowing start ActiveScan on your computer).
The size of loading - 8 Mb. " In some seconds Avast has begun to panic and has given out the virus, type worm Win32:CTX Is found out. How to understand it a false alarm or Pandasoftware worms are grown up? ;D (I am sorry for literacy, the message is translated from Russian by the program)
Hi Stalk,
It is a false alarm. avast! is detecting Panda’s virus definitions. You will need to disable avast! while scanning with Panda.
I understand what you mean but actually it is not a false detection, Avast is detecting it because Panda does not encrypt its definition file so since the file contains malicious code(used to detect viruses) Avast detects it.

It is a false alarm in that there is no real virus in the Panda files. The fragment of virus code used in definitions is not dangerous.
Yes its not dangerous but Avast is detecting for good reasons.

Sure. avast! is doing nothing wrong. Other online scanners can run without setting off alerts in avast!, so it’s Panda’s fault really.
