Call me paranoid, but why the poll?
Is it for personal information?
For publication?
For Avast?
I don’t mind supplying the info you request, just asking why? Your post doesn’t really inform me why you have started this poll.
Hum…the poll results are a bit puzzling. It appears that for more than a year, noone tried Avast!
Then, 3 months ago, we got a rush on Avast Home.
I guess Avast was like a sleeping Giant who we helped awaken. ;D
The poll thusfar is surely not indicative of the Avast user habits.
Since only 4 people took poll, we will have to wait awhile longer to get the “picture”. 
With this post, only 10 have taken the poll. Not very good results will come from this poll if more do not take it. I am guessing that many more have used it for more than a year.
And really … how satisfied with avast are each of us is more important than how long each of us has used avast!

Why don’t you want to answer inthewildteam’s question and least post the reason for this pole?
Since there’s already a choice for “over 2 years”, I’m not sure why there’s also one for “always”, or what the latter’s supposed to mean.
Maybe you used avast when learning computer while still in mother’s womb?

Something like entering the world of antiviruses with avast! instead of Norton

Being somewhat of a statistician, the poll is indicating that once a person starts using Avast, they stay with the program.
More than 60% of users are now considered “long term”.
A poll would be nice to show “what AV” user’s had installed prior to Avast.
I personally have used half a dozen anti-virus programs before discovering Avast. I would not switch to another freeware or payware. I have both Avast Home and Pro running on 3 computers and they have been well protected.

As I said earlier, what do you want to do with this information, the reason for the poll would be nice. Also what you intend to do with the results.

Avast is the first and only “onboard” a-v I’ve had and used since I’ve had internet access, something like 7 years now.
I’m an old-timer who was taught ages ago to never run an a-v from your own machine, unless it was on a write-protected bootable floppy. I’ve used Avast somewhere between 2 and 3 years now (started on Avast-32), and prior to that my internet protection (admittedly non-resident) was a visit a couple of times a week to HouseCall for a “proper” (i.e., external) scan.
Anyone else been around long enough to remember getting the scanner/cleaner diskette from IBM specifically for that Michelangelo thing, back when that was supposedly the big threat?

Back then I was still using my Coomodore 128.
Now remember, that was a whapping 128K no, it’s not a typo.
Hey Bob - I had a Commodore 64, 128, and an Amiga 500 before going IBM compatiable. Actually, I still have them. ;D
But, I have been on the internet for almost 20 years now. For sure, when I first did this, it was no where like it is today! And it was much safer back then, too.
I did not use the old computers above for this. I was lucky enough at my work place to have this access and the occational time to do so.
