How long will 4.8 be supported?

If I decided not to d/l the newest version,does anyone have any idea how long 4.8 will be supported??(by that I mean virus def updates) I’m just looking for any replys to my question,not for anyone to say just d/l 5.0. Thanks in advance.

i have heard 6 - 12 months

There will be enough time to migrate to 5.0
Best to do it at an appropriate time within a couple of months,
