How reliable are the free online scanners??

Hi

I have been reading through this forums and i would like to know how reliable is the free online website scanners like http://sitecheck.sucuri.net/ and http://www.urlvoid.com/ because after using urlvoid, my Avast prompted a threat that was most likely a cookie or something.

Please advise since i would like to open xww.chaturbate.com

thanks

Using on-line scanners which are actually analysing specific sites touch those sites and you are likely to get the same alert (or an associated one) as you did from the site that you got the alert from.

It is an issue that you are likely to get when doing an in-depth analysis of a suspect site.

  • Please ‘modify’ your post change the URL from http to hXXp or www to wXw, to break the link and avoid accidental exposure to suspect sites, thanks. Many may also find the content of this site objectionable, especially in a forum that is open to the public of all ages.

However, I didn’t get any alert.

Most of these “live shows” etc etc are malicious, the bad thing is these sites infect your computer with dialers, mostly.Dialers will charge you till death. My brother “had the luck” to get infected,we paid over 2000 euros,i wouldn’t advise you to visit such sites.

Save your money & stay away from sites like this, the site is built for one reason to rip people off.
There is software developed to mimic a cam & if I had the software I could get the girl on the cam to wave stick two fingers up smile & do almost anything.
& believe me nothing on these sites is free, you will pay one way or another.
They will ask you for your credit card details.

Hi,

Thanks for relying so fast.

What do u mean by dialers? and how can u be charged using this kind of scams?

Thanks for your advises. I learned a lot today.

I just read that dialers attacks the computer connected to the internet.

what if i am using a wireless connection and a DSL that does not use the traditional dial up. Am i still prone to dialer infection?

one of the places you find most malware is porn sites…so threre is a risk if you enter

No.

Hi Asyn,

And who is to complain if one becomes infected from such a site?
And the site has quite some issues if you should run it through a copyscape search for instance.
Another reason to shun these sites, is the fact that the site server gives away the server software version number (nginx etc.), so that makes it an easier prey for hackers, furthermore
users are being tracked via a tracking graphic and cookies are being dealt out on the starting site
(checked the site address for these issues through a german online security checker),
