How to block all websites with avast!?

Hi all,

I’m searching for a way to block all websites with avast. I know there was an option to disable all internet in previous versions of avast, but I don’t see such an option on the main interface anymore. How do I block all websites using avast?

may i ask why ?

I simply do not want internet access on my son’s laptop computer.

pull out the cable

there are firewall that have a terminate conection button

you should give him a limited access acount (the admin acccount will be yours and password protected)
i am not sure if it is possible to terminat internet access on a limited account ? …never done it
maybe somone here know ?

That’s a good idea, but he is computer savvy and he was able to, using a password cracking tool ‘hack’ into my administrator account, remove the password and enable internet.

My idea is to somehow block all websites on his computer, and then use avast’s password feature to prevent him from revoking the block.

i was just looking in the account setting here and it seem there is a time lock you can activate so that the kids only can access the web at time interwall you sett

another way would be to block at the router

In avast? Where is this option?

windows account settings in contol panel

Is there an IP address I could block with avast that would subsequently block all internet?

Ah, nevermind, I found a way to block all websites using the website blocker!

I just entered / as a URL to block and it blocked all websites for me. Now I just need to set a password on avast to prevent removing the block and I should be good to go! Thanks anyway for your help Pondus.

your welcome
