Did anyone know how to block a HTTPS:// website using Avast Free Antivirus?
I am a Avast fan for nearly 7+ years this is my first and only problem raised till date…
Why do you want to block a secured website?
Is there anything wrong with it?
What is the website? (make the link not clickable, replace http with hxxp)
The “Site Blocking” within Web Shield cannot block elements under https://
Such as these

, which are obviously ads.
Would Avast remove this restriction of “Site Blocking” ?
Well, avast is meant to block harmful sites and those are not harmful.
The image site of Yahoo can easily be blocked with the hosts file.
Just add : s.yimg.com 127.0.0.0 to it.
Ofcourse there will be sites that will not open or show up crippled if you block images from Yahoo.
avast doesn’t scan HTTPS URL’s since they are secure connections.

and

These website are automatic pop ups in my chrome browser. I am running out of control and is consuming a considerable data in my internet pack and processor. So i need to block those websites at least to reduce my data usage and processor.
You need to remove the culprit that is causing them to pop-up.
