How to block the targeted ads in Microsoft weather app?

Does anybody know how to stop Microfts’targeted ads in the Weeather app for instance in Windows 8.1 and also how that should be done for Windows 10 (where these apps are no longer supported) or is this like Google Android OS almost impossible, I tried all the settings, opted-out and still I get the so-called unintrusive ads shown everytime I load the Bing weather app. I do not like to get malvertised in any way, so I rather block ads.

I know it was hard to stop ads showing in Skype, but this is even harder. Anyone who knows the tweak?
Does blocking not interfere with security settings?

That was one of the reasons I never used the Windows 8 weather app, plus it’s never accurate.

The Win10 weather app has no advertising but weather information still comes from the same place as before so it’s still inaccurate though it does contain much more information than the earlier version.

Unintended consequences. Sorry you’ve got unwanted issues.

Always the battle between user convenience and security.

Finding up to date weather is always a click away. I run a tight ship, so the less installed the better, plus I do not keep things I do not need. These type of apps are nice, but not essential.
