How to cancel Subscription

I recently signed up for a free 30 day trial period of an upgrade of my current Avast Antivirus.

In doing so I provided my credit card information

I want to cancel the 30 day trial period and under no circumstances do I wish my credit card to be charged.

My current laptop is dying due to a hardware issue so I will be getting a new laptop and not needing the Avast upgrade on my old and dying laptop.

How do I cancel the subscription?

When I go to my account subscription it does not provide and option to “cancel.”

Please let me know how to do this before my laptop actually dies.

Currently I am only on a 30 day trial basis and have not paid anything yet so I have no license number or receipt of purchase.

The link provide does not provide clear instructions of how I cancel my trial subscription.

At the link above I have no idea what the difference is between Digital River, Nexway, Cleverbridge or Allsoft.

I have heretofore never heard of any of these companies.

All I want to do is to insure that after the 30 day trial period that my Credit Card is not charged and I refer to the Free version of Avast Anti-virus.

Is there not an easy way to do this online or is there a human being I can phone at Avast to accomplish this task?

Phoning is not possible.
You either do it following the instructions on the page I gave you or you need to create a ticket and ask avast to cancel it for you.

The instructions on the page provided are not at all clear on how to cancel a subscription.

If you could inform me as to the proper procedure to creating a “Ticket” I shall request a cancellation in that fashion.

I went to the Support Ticket link.

At Order Details [see image] I clicked on “Manage Your Subscription” but got the following message:

" Subscription Details
Server Error
Error:
We are currently unable to perform the selected action. Please accept our apologies for this inconvenience. We have been notified and are already working to correct this issue as quickly as possible. Please click your browser’s back button and try this action at a later time, or take a different action.
Error Number: SYS_000001"

I have tried “this action at a later time” with the same result.

The Error says “or take different action” but how on earth a subscriber would know what other action to take is apparently left a mystery.

Any suggestion on how to simply cancel my subscription?
