I get warnings that avast has found program named Win32:Dialer-681 [Tool]. When i try delete it nothing happens… Next time it will show up on other place and i have to put it quarantine. So how i can get it deleted?.. And when i virus scan whole computer nothing will be found.
Hi :
ALWAYS FIRST "quarantine", NOT "Delete". Then investigate. Part of your investigation should
be to run the "Full Scan" of one or more antiSPYWARE programs, like the FREE 30-day trial of
AVG Antispyware from www.ewido.net and/or the FREE version of "SUPERantispyware"
from www.superantispyware.com . Based on WHAT they say, should determine IF you
eventually have Avast "Delete" it .
The "Dialer" MAY be from your Internet Service Provider .
If it keeps returning there could be a trojan downloader connecting to the internet and restoring it. Use the other anti-spyware to see if anything is found, if so please also send a sample to virus@avast.com zipped and password protected with password in email body and undetected malware in the subject.
Do you have a firewall and if so what is it ?
This should hopefully stop unauthorised outbound connections (trojan downloader, etc.) connecting to the internet.
Maybe file is in use…
Are you using Windows XP?
Can you schedule a boot-time scanning?
Start avast! > Right click the skin > Schedule a boot-time scanning.
Select for scanning archives.
Boot.
I downloaded AVG Anti-spyware and did scan with it. It found these files:
Backdoor.Rbot
Trojan.Agent.ncg
Backdoor.SdBot.bdi
backdoor.SdBot.bcc
Im using Avast own firewall.
Im using Windows 2000 professional. I do scans allmost everyday but still nothing is being found.

avast does not have a firewall. It’s just an antivirus, not a suite.

The only way you can help is sending the files to avast team in order to improve detection (virus (at) avast.com).
Can you suggest me good firewall?

Send them from Chest.
Right click the file and choose Email to Alwil Software.
You must have been configurated the SMTP tab of settings correctly before doing that. Right click avast icon and choose Program Settings. Go to SMTP tab of settings and do it
Hi Sandstorm :
For software firewalls, I recommend selecting from www.filehippo.com/software/firewalls/ ;
from the list there, I recommend either Sunbelt Kerio, Sygate, or Zone Alarm .
IF you select Sygate, I will provide the link to its "SetUp Guide" >

That would be a nice link to have even if Sandstorm opts for something else
Thanks for all who helped me get rid of viruses etc. I decide download Comodo firewal which works good. I got one more question which is:
When i delete files from chest does is delete them from whole computer?
If a file has been sent to the chest then it shouldn’t be anywhere else, unless there were multiple copies. Deletion from the chest does just that only deletes from the chest.
There is no rush to delete anything from the chest, a protected area where it can do no harm. Anything that you send to the chest you should leave there for a few weeks. If after that time you have suffered no adverse effects from moving these to the chest, scan them again (inside the chest) and if they are still detected as viruses, delete them.
