As the title describes, I am not able to download Adware Pro 2009 as it picks it up as a Trojan Horse on the dowload and then aborts the connection. What can I do?
Hello pbodrogi
can you give us the link from where you are trying to get adware pro 2009? it might be a fake antivirus(rogue app). and please change http to hXXp or www to wXw, while posting the link so that it is not clickable.

Download Ad-Aware here.
I too suspect it is rogueware pretending to be adaware (not the spelling), so avast alerting on this I suspect it is correct to do so. You have to exercise due care when downloading any security software as there are so many rogue applications out there. Google the program name, etc. see image for the relevant hit.
Whilst rdmaloyjr gives the link to the legit lavasoft, makers of AdAware, even that is no longer as good as it once was and there are many better options out there, here are two:
If you haven’t already got this software (freeware), download, install, update and run it periodically.
-
- MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, On-Demand only in free version http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/malwarebytes/mbam-setup.exe, right click on the link and select Save As or Save File (As depending on your browser), save it to a location where you can find it easily later. - 2. SUPERantispyware On-Demand only in free version.
Don’t worry about reported tracking cookies they are a minor issue and not one of security, allow SAS to deal with them though. - See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_cookie.
adware pro 2009 is a rogue ;D
