How do I disable avast (temporarily) when I play computer games offline? And how do I disable Zone Alarm? Is it all right to disable these when you play a game offline in order to boost system resources?
I guess the same would go for using Word offline.
And when you are ready, can you enable them again?

Right click the ‘a’ blue icon and choose the last option in the menu to pause the resident protection.
I think the same way, right clicking the ZA icon and choosing the proper option.
Well… if you do NOT install a new game and if you have already fully played it at least one time with the antivirus on, I think it won’t harm.
The firewall, for off-line games, could be off without trouble… you’re off-line anyway ;D
