How to do a complete uninstall?

Other than programs and features is there an avast cleaner to remove
any left overs?
Avast is really messing up ie 10
Maybe reinstall later
Thanks

hi,
try avastclear.
http://www.avast.com/en-gb/uninstall-utility

and rejzors avast uninstall utility.
http://rejzor.wordpress.com/avast-cleanup-tool/

Thanks Arnold,do I need both of these?

Run Rejzors avast uninstall utility in normal mode and after that restart manually. After that reinstall Avast Free Edition, register your avast, and restart your computer again.

Also about your IE10, Microsoft released IE11. I suggest you install IE11

Yes you need both of these.

I would suggest that you try this first.

Try disabling the avast online security add-on in IE Manage Add-ons settings will help.

OK I’ll try a reinstall and update to ie11
I already registered this install can I register another?
Thanks so much!

OK I am thinking that will effect realtime protection?

What do you mean by “can I register another?” If you mean by installing Avast Free Edition in another computer and register again, the answer is yes. Make sure you register before 30 days. If you don’t register within 30 days your Avast won’t work. Once every year avast will ask you to register your avast program.

I mean when I reinstall avast on this one

If you decide to uninstall Avast instead not doing a repair via add/remove just like mentioned by David R. Yes you have to re-register your avast. If you already registered and you decide to do repair via add/remove you don’t have to register again, it may fix your problem that you are currently experiencing.

I will try the repair and see what happens
Thanks for your guys

Not really as the avast Web Shield is the main on line scanner, the avast online security is a browser plugin.

Tried the repair and had no change
Disabled online security add on and ei10 seems to working good!

Now all I need is to figure out why the emupdate shows
up as startup item 20131121 and unknown manufacture on msconfig
but I think I’ll let that thread cool down a bit
Thanks again!

Try uninstalling via Add/Remove and

try avastclear.
http://www.avast.com/en-gb/uninstall-utility

and rejzors avast uninstall utility.
http://rejzor.wordpress.com/avast-cleanup-tool/

After using Avast Cleanup Tool in normal mode restart your computer manually. After finishing up installing Avast. Restart computer manually. Finally register your Avast.

Don’t forget to upgrade your IE to IE11

Ok now I am getting worried
Uninstalled avast via programs and features
Ran avastclear in safemode
Ran Rejzors cleanup tool
reboot a couple times and this 20131121 is still in msconfig startup?
Is there some other reason I can’t get rid of this emupdate?
Is there another way to do this via regedit or?
Thanks

Given that this emupdate startup entry id relatively new, perhaps it isn’t in either avastclear or RejZoR’s removal tool.

If you have uninstalled avast, it won’t be running and you should be able to manually remove the msconfig startup tab.

I manually removed from startup and it’s gone
Thanks David

You’re welcome.
