How to do computer setup scan??

Ive just installed avast home for the first time ever (family friend said it was a great program to use & i trust what he says as he runs & owns his on computer company) Anyway the first time I used it I had to restart my computer so it could do a full scan of my pc during startup. It got as far as 30% before my whole computer froze & i had to restart it >:(
I would love to get it to do another scan during startup but it wont. How do i get it to so?? ???

(sorry bout how i asked this question, im not very good at explaining myself :stuck_out_tongue: )

The log file of the boot time scan should be located here:

C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\DATA\log\aswboot.txt.

If you can find it, please copy and paste the contents. (You could also search for aswboot.txt.)

To run a boot time scan with avast! Right click the scanner screen, select ‘schedule a boot time scan’ and reboot when requested. (Or open the tab at the top left of the scanner screen and select the boot time option from there.)
