how to do this AGAIN?

I like avast anti-virus because of its network shield. and also the fact that i can use it for free by registering over the internet.

i have encountered in our office a virus/worm “UST scandal” and it is not doing anything yet, but i can’t kill it nor delete it. and whenever avast performs a thorough scan, the computer automatically shuts down.

my question is:

i remember that when avast is newly installed, it asks the user if he wants to schedule a complete scan of the system after it restarts. (or the complete scan of local hard drives after the initial install).

how do i do this again? i can’t seem to find it anywhere in the options.
sorry for my ignorance.

thanks for the replies.

Do you use any firewall?

Can you schedule a boot-time scanning?
Start avast! > Right click the skin > Schedule a boot-time scanning.
Select for scanning archives.
Boot.
If infected files are found, it’s safer to send them to Chest instead of deleting them.
This way you can further analysis them.

Access denied means, generally, that the file is in use by another process (program) and cannot be repaired/cleaned/moved/handled by avast!
The report file is created automatically in \Data\Report\aswBoot.txt
