How to downgrade to 17.8.2318

I’d just updated to the latest version and suddenly my computer’s gone a bit haywire. It’s too much of a pain trying to get it working with the latest version so for now I just want to go back to 17.8.2318, but I can’t seem to find any place to get it, and there’s no option to downgrade in the program itself. I tried filehippo but they only have the online installers which all just point to the latest version anyway.

I have found the same issue. Outlook Add-in for Avast Internet Security (Build 17.9.2322) completely fails using Outlook 2010 after upgrading
Build 17.8.2318 works correctly for Outlook 2010.
The add-in is for black and white listing spam do not work in build 17.9.2322. My suggestion is to turn off the automatic engine update and stay with build 17.8.2318 until this bug is fixed. You can always update the defs just as usual.
Reverting back to build 17.8.2318 solved this issue with automatic updates disabled.

I will wait until Avast fixes this bug in their engine.

I have suffered the Outlook 2010 problem and reported separately here yeterday, but got no replies:

Where can I download previous version 17.8 from ?
Ed

Just wasted time downloading what was advertised as 17.8.2318 from filehippo, but is only stub loader which results in latest version being installed regardless of version selected. Looks like all other resources are same as file size similar and do not stock the full offline exe. So anyone know where an actual copy of complete offline version 17.8.2318 can be found?
Ed

It’s still quite difficult to find old versions avast, even more for paid versions, but I advise to always download avast versions “offline” on his hard drive at the time of their release, to remain master of our wishes.
No doubt too late for you, but think about it in the future.

On the other hand, going back, it leaves little chance to solve the problems except for some big universal bug
It’s always easier to let others solve problems for us ;), … as long as everyone does not come back

Try here at Neowin … https://www.neowin.net/news/avast-free-antivirus-1782318

That leads to the regular online installer which will result in installing the latest version.
