Could someone please tell me how to hide or elliminate these annoying pop up access scanner messages? I’ve looked into this before and tried what was suggested and met with no sucess. It takes forever and a day for the screen to clear for me to read the screen. I have come to dislike the Avast system greatly because of this issue.

It would have been better not to have enabled them to start with.
Standard Shield - Left click on the avast ‘a’ icon, click the Details… >> button if shown, select the Standard Shield provider > Customize > Advanced - ‘Show detailed info on performed actions’ this option is off by default, so it would appear you have been tweaking avast without knowing the effect it will have.
This function is also on the Web Shield and Internet Mail providers so you should also check those.
use the firefox and add-on like ad-block plus that the way you block most of the advertising, if you want more secure use another one was no-script.
…or switch to V5, these pop ups don’t exist anymore. But as said, you got them because you enabled them ;D
This issue has nothing to do with ads (from my interpretation of the question), but messages from avast on the files that it is scanning, see image.
