How to kill Avast upgrade popups?

Every hour or so Avast brings up a popup trying to get me to buy Avast Internet Security, which I don’t want. Is there a way to kill those popups? The currency is in British Pounds and I use Euros since I live in the Netherlands so I’m not gonna do that. But aisde from that, I’m not interested in buying it. Does anyone know how to kill those popups?

It shouldn’t show up that often…!!

You can turn on the Silent mode in settings

Maybe every hour or so is a bit exagerrated but the big popups do annoy me.
