How to log in into the new Avast 2017 version?

So with the new UI Avast apparently chosed to remove the possibility to log in. Unless they made it 10x harder, anyone knows?

Program Version: 17.1.2286

There never was a need nor is there to login to the GUI, you just open it.

It was indeed needed to see all my computer/phones on my id.avast account.

That is you avast account, not the GUI.

As i cannot log in, my computer is not registered on my account.

Login through the website > https://my.avast.com

Thank you, i will try it out.

It did not work at all.

But the interface could allow you to access your my.avast.com within the UI and not have to go out to your browser. That element has been removed, temporarily I believe. There is no account linkage (top right) of the new 17.1.2286 UI as there was in 12.3.2280.

If there is no way to access the my.avast.com you can’t link it to your account, your installation won’t be recognised in the my.avast.com account.

The whole concept of the my.avast.com account so that one person could monitor all of those installations (like family members systems, etc.) in one location. If that isn’t possible then the my.avast.com is redundant.

One thing that you are always bringing up, assign your avast license to a device, from your my.avast.com account. Not possible if there is no device/installation linkage to your account.

Finally a proper answer. I am sure they will add it later but i was just surprised to see it was gone in first place, shouldn’t been too hard to keep but i guess they want to work a bit more on the GUI by letting people file in feedback.

Hello,
Where did you see Ludwig5 want to log in to the UI ? :o (with the new UI…to log in nor log in to access the new UI ;))
Of course , UI is already opened and excepting you everyone will have understood that the “log in” refers to the opening of our e-mail account (with avatar, top right inside the UI)

Fortunately DavidR answers more about real question
It is a pity that avast has withdrawn this possibility … for what said by DavidR and (for me) also to see stats
nb:I know Eddy says there are no stats for long time ;), but me I have (not by magic way but by log in to my account by UI justly)

Maybe it did not work because my.avast.com is unreachable at this time ? … , at least for me loading with hourglass for 2 or 3 hours , was OK at noon.

I also hope for log in again to my account with the UI … in the future

It was slow but I was able to get to the site.

Thanks bob3160

Still too slow for me (or my connection) … loading , loading , … already 5 minutes

I believe that was their intention to improve the my.avast.com interface, unfortunately as an avast user like yourself I don’t know when this linkage to my.avast.com will be back, hopefully soon.

Whilst it is possible to connect via your browser and you can see previously linked devices, I was able to connect relatively quickly.

The issue is linking new devices from the avastUI when you haven’t got any linkage method within the 17.1.2286 UI.

That said I wonder if it is possible by a roundabout route. If you click the Secure Another Device (image1), you click on the Device type and then the Send button for 'Send download link to: your-email-address (image2).

You will receive an email with download links for Avast for Windows and Avast Mobile Security (image3). Clicking on the avast for windows link you download the avast free on-line setup file (image4).

This is pretty much like the old referral method. But that install should then be linked to your my.avast.com account.

Don’t know why but my.avast.com is unreachable with Win xp SP3 + firefox 51.0.1 (32b) … even with new profile without addon.
It’s ok with firefox 49.0.1 or with chrome on same pc

It’s also ok with FF 51.0.1 (32b) with other pc W7

ps:issue independently of Avast version (12.3.2280 for now)

No problem accessing it with the same setup as in my signature.

You cannot register new devices through the browser.

Did you try what I suggested in Reply #14 https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=196709.msg1366083#msg1366083 ?

Just found out while trying to fix the UI bug that if you click on Cleanup-Settings there’s an option for ‘License’ and if you click on it you can login
