Hi to all, i have installed avast home edition 4.5.517.
I would like to update it with the new release 4.5.549, is it possible to do it manually, without to be connected at the net?
Have i to remove avast first and then install the program again or is there any update function that i can use?

Just download the setup program for the apropriate language from the download section of our web site.
When executed on a machine with avast already installed, it will detect the current installation and will offer you to do an update.
Why does this does not occurs most times?
I mean, when I run the new setup.exe file off line, I have to uninstall the previous version before 
We lost all configurations and settings…
Why doesn’t avast work like lots of applications (AntiVir, for instance) that allows to run a new version setup.exe and update without the need for uninstallation? :
(I’m not talking about ‘language’ conflicts because this happen with the same language setup.exe of even the full (28,156 Mb) setup)

I apologize, you and Vlk, the update feature works perfectly even in the off computer. I tested from 4.1.418 and from 4.5.xxx to 4.5.549 8)
