How to not scan BIG files ? (like .exe archives)

Hi,

I use Avast for a long time, and sometimes it slowdown my computer when i Rename, move, delete big self-extracting archives (.EXE) … Some files are between 200 MO and 2.5 GO

How can i make an exception to not scan files bigger than > 100mo ?

I uncheck the box do not scan when writing files but it don’t change anything …

Please help

There is not a setting to exclude files by their size.
It’s safer (much more safer) not to exclude .exe files from scanning (regardless its size).

Well archive files aren’t scanned by default, if they are some settings have been changed.

yes, self-extracting archives are .exe that’s the reason :frowning:

And that is the reason why they are scanned because they are executable and because the writing option could include modification.

Unless the FileSystem Shield default settings got changed, the scanning of those files shouldn’t take very long. Yes, the files are scanned, but the whole archive is not unpacked.
