HOW TO REACH SOMEONE AT AVAST

Have been with Avast for several years. My protection is good to Oct 5 2013. On 9/26/13, I renewed through PayPal and received verification from Avast that it was received and I am good to Oct 2014. On Sunday Oct 5 2013 I received email from Avast telling me they have cancelled me. I tried to run Avast and it has been disabled. My computer was totally without protection. I immediately went to another Antivirus and signed up to get protection. I have called Avast support and requested a refund. I was told I have to go to the support page and submit a ticket . I was unable to sign in and have spent almost the entire afternoon trying to get a new password. The message from the site says they have emailed me a verification but that was a looonnnggg time ago and I have never received the email. I was able to eventually get in to submit a ticket and received verification that my submission is received. However, I have not heard back and I cannot get into the area where I can view my message from Avast if they have left any message. The verification sheet says I can log in to support for updates. Support will not let me in. They say Avast has no record of my email addy.

I set up a new account but it is a “my avast” acct and there is not way to get to support from there. I finally was able to get my original account password updated but I can’t find out how to access the ticket I submitted. It is as if the original account never existed. Can anyone tell me how I can get to the area where my ticket will be updated.??? Bizarre.

Try http://www.avast.com/contact-form.php

Just as a simple question, if you use the support request form and get an unsatisfactory answer, is there an escalation process anywhere? I’ve been trying to get to speak to somebody at Avast for a week, and their tech helpline is never actually answered, just gives a voicemail message. Nobody is apparently reading the detail of my emails, just giving standard answers keyed to the topic heading. Would be grateful if anybody has any ideas, I’ve been an Avast user for years but their sales force seem to be trying to make me go somewhere else!

Personally I would be using the forums first if you have a problem.

try CCare@avast.com
my license renewal also failed , but at least they did not charge my credit card yet ; friendly Tjech (?) lady on supportline but more then " we are investigating it " I did not hear yet
Meanwhile I also get these warning messages that protection is disbaled , allthough the free version then still works I presume
PS : very strange that as Dutch speaking Belgian customer I get reply from a …Tjech person in English though
