I have this important file that I’ve been using for almost 8 years without problems.
Now that I migrated to Avast 5 Free from Avira Free, my file got quarantined by Avast and now it’s gone.
I run the file, file runs successfully but just for about 2 seconds. Then the file automatically closed, and a pop up message on the lower right part of my screen said something that Avast 5 detected a trojan and was successfully quarantined. I can’t remember the entire message of the pop up screen as I was expecting that when a file is quarantined, it will not be deleted but stored somewhere in quarantine folder. On Avast case, it should be in Virus Chest. But it’s not there.
Where did my file go and how do I recover it? How come it’s quarantined but not in Virus Chest? I have 3 other files in Virus Chest but the file that was just quarantined was not there. Is Virus Chest for Avast Free limited to 3 files only?
