because it is not virus… some toolbar crap, often comes bundled with other programs
avast may detect it with a PUP scan… PUP = not a virus/Possible Unwanted Program
try this
run AdwCleaner…click delete… post log here
run Malwarebytes quick scan…if anything is found…click remove selected and post log here
you find the tools here http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0
Yeah, it’s bundled with other software alright – “AVAST be free” – on two unconnected laptops about a month apart. So, is “AVAST be free” the virus or malware or Conduit? It just downloads itself. AVAST Pro was already on both computers. Then one day, there is a new AVAST icon on the desktop. It also downloaded OTsoft or something. I’ve spent half my life getting rid of Conduit for the last 30 days! The reason I paid for it TWICE is to avoid this problem. I thought I would get more protection if I PAID for AVAST PRO! I don’t appreciate it at all. I’m supposed to have MALWARE and VIRUS protection. So, what did I get for my $60.00? NADA!!!
searcconduit is not malware and does not come with avast
run the programs mentioned above to remove
