hello, I just finished downloading slender the arrival full version (released today), and as soon as I ran the installer avast said it was win32.evo and deleted it (not enough space to move to chest), is there any way to get this file back? FYI it is not a virus, just a game installer by blue isle studios.
I got the same thing. The best I can say is to temporarily disable Avast! (for like 5 min) while you execute it? I hope they add this file to the exclusion list because Avast! keeps turning it into a tmp file, most likely causing havoc for others who maybe not know it’s clean. Funny thing too, chrome’s security got mad at it, Windows 8 automatic security thing got mad at it, and Avast! got mad. I don’t think they like this file, haha.
upload the file to www.virustotal.com and test with 40+ malware scanners

Hi just to add if you open avast on the left click on Maintenance and then Virus Chest you can delete the files in there so there would be room to move files there. The important thing about the Chest is if you do get a false positive you can restore it from there unless of course it is full. You can also go under settings at the top then choose Virus Chest and make it what ever size you want so it will hold more files but it is best to delete the files in there from time to time.
What is the point of having AV then?
Someone could say that is recommended to disable AV every time when you’re installing something.
AV should stop bad downloads/installs.I don’t need to be bothered with when or if I should disable
Avast.I guess this recommendation to disable AV should be part of installers and not hidden on some
sites.
Sorry,that post should be here:

I don’t know how to delete it.
Before you delete any file see http://antivirus.about.com/b/2007/03/11/clean-quarantine-or-delete.htm
Once a file is in the chest you can then right click on the file to re-scan. If it’s clean you will be able to restore it to its original place.
A copy will be kept in the chest. To adjust the “size” of the chest GUI>Settings>Virus Chest. ![]()
