Hello everyone, I have a problem. I uninstalled some programs that I no longer use on my computer, but in the Avast firewall there are still traces of programs that I have already removed.
The question is how do I remove it from the firewall list, this is bothering me because the list keeps growing.
In KASPERSKY antivirus there is an option that removes it easily without any problem. How do I do this in AVAST?
One note, I am sending the attached image with an arrow showing what I want to remove from the firewall, knowing that there is much more than what was shown in this photo.
The fact that the list keeps growing, isn’t really going to impact either performance or storage as it would be a reference list.
That said clearing it for inactive applications would reduce the list to more manageable level.
Unfortunately an an Avast Free user the Firewall isn’t anyway close to the paid versions and i don’t see what you can with Avast Premium.
Have you had a look at what is behind the … dots option to the right of the entries of those you want to remove ?
Presumable all of those inactive ones are Blocked “Bloquear”.
Good evening friend, after a while, when I went to see your post answering my question, I took a look at what it was like. they disappeared automatically, I was impressed that avast detects and removes it on its own for users, that’s what I understood.
Look at the attached image.
Thanks for the confirmation.
I can only guess that there is some time limit to those inactive applications before they are removed from the list.
I think it must run some internal module that monitors errors, problems, inactivity and other things that I can’t even imagine.
Could someone from the Avast team talk about this topic here?
Could it just be a UI loading issue where it keeps them there but if you try to interact with them the UI updates to remove them? Basically the equivalent of a right-click and “refresh” when you’re in a folder. Or re-loading a web page for updated content.
I don’t think so, because I was interacting with the files, I closed them, restarted the computer and they still remained, after a while they were deleted out of nowhere.
Interesting. How much of a delay are we talking between uninstalling those programs and them disappearing from the firewall list? Maybe it just takes a while to update.
I don’t have any firm answers for you, btw. I’m just genuinely curious as a bystander who doesn’t use the firewall.
I’ll tell you I think it’s less than 20 minutes.
I really like using the avast firewall. I think he is very complete.
1 - Do you use it?
2 - And why don’t you use it?
I don’t use it.
I don’t want to, I like Windows’s firewall fine.
