Avast has alerted me of a suspicious file called “Win32:Evo-gen”. I looked it up and it seems a bit tedious to remove. Does anybody have an easy and simple way to recommend?
Most thankful for help

Not quite sure what you’re getting at… Is win32:evo-gen not a threat but a product of avast?
As for the other link, I’ve already read that and since I’m not very good with these kind of problems I did what it told me to do “To get assistance create a topic in the Virus and Worms forum”
So um…call me slow, but could you maybe elaborate a little bit? Please make it simple tho, I’m not very bright. Thanks!
Could you get a screen shot for us?
In all likelyhood it will be a False Positive. Eddy’s second link is so we can have a look to see what’s wrong with your computer.
I don’t see any post from you in the “virusses and worms” forum. ???
We are in the V&W section?
Michael, is it a screenshot of the avast warning you want or…?
Like, sorry if I’m not getting you right away, I’ve never had to do this before.
