How to Renew avast 4.7 ?

O.K. so my original year subscription is ending in a couple weeks, I follow the avast link about renewing, and it tells me to go to the share*it site which I do, I log into my account and look for a renewal section, of which there is none and nothing if FAQ’s/forums to direct me, what next…Do I just repurchase the product or what? there is no area for the license key…help

You could try contacting sales@avast.com they should be able to point you in the right direction. I’m sure I have seen a renewal link in the forums for share*it or shareit you could try a search.

I’ve already been to this link, you have not told me anything I dont know already, not trying to be rude but emails are not the way I would expect Alwil to handle renewing a purchased “not free” version of their own antivirus software…very strange way of doing business

The way it worked for me, was I recieved an e-mail notification that my subscription was about to expire. In that e-mail was a link along with a discount coupon.

I clicked on the link and it took me to a page where I could select the length of subscription that I wanted.

Clicking buy now, displayed the login page.

Do you have a spam blocker? If you do, maybe it blocked the renewal notification. You may have to add *.avast.com to your allowed list.

Firstly, I’m just an avast user like yourself, not an employee of Alwil. Had you said you had already tried this I wouldn’t have suggested it.

But as you also say you haven’t sent the email to sales. You purchased through the payment processing of share*it and as ‘oldman’ said you should have received and email from them about renewal.

Whilst your suggestion that alwil should have another means of getting a renewal discount is a good one, but it currently doesn’t exist and to get this discount you need to apply before your existing licence expires.

In that case the coupon would be xxxDECxxxx so you would get 32-31 days. ;D

Yeah, except for me, because obviously, I’m a moron. Nice.

Any way you slice it, this way of issuing discount coupons makes no sense, in light of their “30 day” claim. So now, as a trial user, I’m supposed to guess where the cutoff is, so I get at least 30 days grace period… Need I wait until the 4th of the month, or will that still result in a coupon that expires the end of the same month? How about if I register on the 10th? Then I’ll get only ~20 days? Or ~50? Nonsense.
