I know the procedure for submitting a file to Avast that IS in the virus vault
(https://www.avast.com/en-eu/faq.php?article=AVKB21#idt_07 ).
But I have a suspicious file (email .doc attachment) that Avast scans and reports as safe, so IS NOT in the virus vault. It is suspicious on several counts, not least the facts that it is unsolicited, pressures one to open the attachment, and the attachment contains code.
Guidance, please.
Regards,
Mike

The file you sent was found to be malicious. We will be detecting the sample you submitted as Trojan-Downloader:W97M/Agent.DVXZ in the next database update.
