I have several drivers that report they need to be updated, but the data in the driver database is non-sensical or wrong. The result is that it is prompting me to “update” to an older driver. How do I report this? (For the time being, I am simply ignoring the drivers.)
Here are the problems I’m experiencing on my machine:
A) Four different drivers for the Intel(R) 300 series chipset that show:
Installed Version: 10.1.15.7
Released: Jul 18, 1968 [ OBVIOUSLY wrong date ]
Prompt to update to Version: 10.1.1.36 [ OLDER than what I have installed ]
Released: Sep 30, 2016
B) Driver for Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620 that shows:
Installed Version: 31.0.101.2135
Released: Mar 6, 2025
Prompt to update to Version: 27.20.100.9664 [ OLDER than what I have installed ]
Released: Jun 1, 2021
[ NOT SURE why it’s prompting me to update to this older version? ]
