How to reset avast app password.

Hi, Long time ago I set up a password to access settings. Does any body now how to rest it?

Unless your computer is accessed by more than one person, I’d suggest that you not set up a password and
not worry about forgetting it in the future. Unless you don’t trust yourself.

Actually, that is invalid, Eddy. While true, it can be done other ways. I have my own ways. I will post it when my laptop is working again lol

Too remove Avast! Password WITHOUT Reinstalling…

Boot into Safe Mode (This is NOT optional) > go to C:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Avast\aswResp.dat. Delete that, reboot.

Password should be gone.
