How to run a specific application without alert ?

Hello,
I am using the Home 4.8. Avast version and appreciate it !
It is running with Win XP SP3.
I regularly use a specific and registered/licenced software called “SmartSerialMail” (from “Jam Software”) to send emails to different groups of people registered on my website, but each email sent in sequence activates the “alert” of Avast…
How can I attribute an “authorized operation” when using this software ?
I checked in the parameters of Avast but did not find a room to enter this exception…

Change the Heuristic settings into the Internet Mail provider.
Left click the ‘a’ blue icon, details button to expand, the Internet Mail provider at left, Customize button, Heuristic tab and Heuristic (advanced) tab. Increase the number of mass mail permitted to be sent.

Thank you, but “Heuristic Advanced” where I should enter the number of emails that are authorized to be sent before an alert is in grey !! → so unavailable !
I checked the level of secuity before accessing this screen and it is “high” almost everywhere.
What can I do ?

You need to use the custom level (slider) and then customize (button).

I chose “custom” for each but the heuristic advanced is still in grey, so unavailable :frowning:
What is “slider” ? You mean the horizontal “lift” ?
I don’t understand why the place to enter the values is still in grey…
