How to save my settings ?

I would like to save my avast settings to have an easier reinstallation .

Is it possible ? IMHO, Avast should have an “export settings” functionnality. :wink:

Avast currently does not have this as an option, but is something that others have suggested.

I just save the .ini files (Alwil Software\Avast5) :wink: :slight_smile:

Some people on the forum are looking for a kind of restore default settings button in the GUI in case they make changes to their settings and they don’t remember what the default settings were. However the OP makes a good point in having a restore of the user’s settings, so both are good suggestions that perhaps the devs. are listening to. ;D

can’t see any .ini files in that folder…

They are in C:\ProgramData\Alwil Software\Avast5 on my Windows 7 system

so many .ini flies :o I would save avast.ini But… :stuck_out_tongue: not sure…

We definitly need an “export preferences” button in avast ! 8) :wink:

We have been ashing for a save/export settings and a restore defaults function for some time now, but it is falling on deaf ears.
