Here you are both having joined the forums today and you want PMs, why do you need it ?

The avast forums aren’t chat rooms or IM, but for the support of avast users with questions relating to avast! and these can be handled directly on the forums without PMs. PMs are a one to one link that only helps one person, anyone else with the same problem doesn’t benefit from that closed one to one communication.

Sorry but I have to question your need of PMs having just joined the forums today.

Yes, I had to question the motives/reason why two people who joined the forums and on the same day asking for/needing PM functionality in less than two hours.
