Okay here is how to set Black & White lists on Exchange Server (server version installed not client)

Start Avast 7.X on Exchange Server 2008R2
Click Additional Protection
Click Antispam
Click Expert Settings and enter the password

Now here is where I am learning by trial and error. On my Exchange Server the following had a checkbox already checked.

  1. Mark in subject of spam message SPAM
  2. Delete spam messages (warning there is no way to restore such messages later)
  3. Add recipients of outbound emails to whitelist automatically
  4. Add only domains of the recipients

I unchecked 2 through 4 but number 4 came back in a greyed out form when I went back in later.

Now click on Whitelist and in here I added the two employees email addresses who regularly send out company announcements. Before I did the above steps in Main Settings and but after I added the email addresses I noticed I had 15 domains in my Whitelist. So now I modified the Main Settings to the aforementioned configuration and I will chime back in tomorrow and let you know how things are working out.
