How to Stop added text on outbound emails on gmail

Starting Nov 28 after last update my outbound email replies on Gmail have the following added/embedded at the end of my message.

This email has been sent from a virus-free computer protected by Avast. www.avast.com

  • AvastUI > Settings (the cog wheel icon) > Active Protection > Mail Shield > Customize > Behaviour - uncheck any insert notes that are enabled which you don’t want.

However - There is another option in the latest avast 2016 11.1.2245 version, released a couple of days ago - AvastUI > Settings (the cog wheel icon) > General - uncheck the 'Enable Avast email signatures.

Good one David, I missed that probably due to my not using the xp station very often these day. :wink:

Well it has only been out a few days, and was in the later beta builds. Makes it easier if the user hasn’t got the Mail Shield installed.
