How to stop Avast from annoying me with its popups?

Avast keeps opening popups now and then prompting me to answer some questions in a query. This is highly annoying. When I close the popup window once, it should be a clear sign that I do not wish to participate. And if I close the window 10 times, it should be clear, period. So what does one have to do in order to stop those popups? Uninstall avast and begin using some other antivirus? Would really like to get a proper response to this question. Thanks.

Which version of avast, Free? Pro? AIS? Premier?
v2014? v2015?

Free, latest, 2014.9.0.2021
Why would that even matter? I have all popups disabled in settings. Looks like that has no effect. Any suggestions?

Right, I can see this really is a tough one to explain.

No, you are not using the latest version.
The latest version is 2015.10.0.2208
Not counting the beta’s, you are two versions behind.

Thank you, dammit. I thought my avast was set to autoload any updates. I updated to 2015.10.0.2208.
Ok, so am I to understand that, when using free avast there’s nothing I can do to stop all kinds of popups, and I have to accept the fact that avast is treating all its users alike? All right, I’ll give it a try but if those popups will keep popping I’ll buy myself another av. Ciao.

You can turn it off in the paid versions of Avast.

Danke schön. Aber, I kind of knew that already. My point was, actually, why does the same stupid query prompt popup keep reappearing when I repeatedly have closed the window, and even after I have already done the query. It makes no sense. If free version makes no sense, that really isn’t going to make me want to purchase the paid version. Quite simple, avast treats me like an idiot, it gets my finger and I get a different AV. Simplissimo. Ciao

Ciao.

You get what you paid for.
