How to stop Avast Premium Security from popping up every 15 minutes

Hi:

I am using silent mode to turn off all pop-ups, alerts and messages. However, since the last update a couple days ago, Avast now pops up a window every 15 minutes to tell me I am protected. This is a serious interruption to work flow. How do I get APS to stop harassing me, interrupting presentations and making me a laughing stock at meetings? >:( >:( >:( :-[

I can still remember when companies actually helped customers rather than tell customers to ask other costumers for help. The internet is the death of rapid and decent customer service.
