How to STOP avast thinking my music software's a virus?

Dear Anyone.

OK, I got a piece of oddball software I love making music with, it’s called Quick Score Elite Level 2. Thing IS, when I’m bouncing a track down to a soundfile, SOMETIMES (by no means always) Avast thinks my program’s a virus and crashes it! Which can get slightly irritating after putting a few days’ work into a track. (Usually when it crashes it, it takes ALL the files out including those holding the settings so in effect you’re mixing the track from scratch!)

OK, so I could remember to turn Avast off when using my music software, this is true. But is there any way of TELLING the software that my music program ISN’T a virus, so I can leave Avast running and still write music without wondering if I’m going to get to save it or not?

Yours annoyedly

Chris.
