How to stop being asked about passwords all the time

Hi

I’m using the Internet Security product and each time I enter a password I get a little drop down box asking whether I want the password saved. I know I can disable it for that site forever but is there anywhere in the settings that I can say… ‘Never ask about passwords’.

I’ve tried looking but am new to the software and there are tons of options so it’s likely I may have missed it.

Thanks

Could you please post a screenshot? It sounds like you’ve installed avast EasyPass. ???

DJBone

Uhmm bit of a problem as I’ve said don’t ask about each of the sites that I enter passwords on so I can’t get a screen shot. It did look like the ‘key’ symbol in avast although I don’t think I purchased KeyPass.

Is there any other way of telling if I have installed KeyPass?

Thanks

The avast Internet Security hasn’t a password manager integrated.

Do you have a orange ball with a white “p” inside in your taskbar?
Which Browser do you use?

DJBone

Sounds like the Firefox “Would you like to save password” drop-down.

@DJB The avast icon is an orange ball with a white circle in it and something inside that circle but it is too small to decipher. My browser is Firefox. My system is XP SP3

@Valdymir Hmmm you may be right. I thought I had set FF’s setting to don’t save any passwords but am wondering if something got changed because I had to run the various programs in your Logs to assist cleaning malware post. I’ll double check that.

Thanks
