If you’ve sent the virus to the Chest, open the Chest, right-click on the entry for the virus and select ‘Email to ALWIL Software’.
Alternatively, you can send it in a password-protected zip file to virus@avast.com, making sure you include the password in the body of the email.
Found malware holy (holystic dialer) with Adaware 2007. How do you send (virus@avast.com) an infected key registry to Avast? By exporting it to my document folder from regedit do I risk ruining my computer. Is there a simplier way? Also, I think this malware was downloaded together with freeware CCleaner (on 2 pcs, same problem) and I found the link in this forum, so be aware!

i found the same thing (holystic dialer) with adaware2007. turns out it was a false positive, which the ad aware tech people fixed in the latest update. none of my other scanners including avast detected it. i use spybot search and destroy, windows defender, and A2Free.

The problem is now fixed , just download the latest definition file for Ad-Aware 2007 and run a scan.Build: 0003.0001
avast does not detect ‘infected’ registry keys. It justs detects infected files (or files running into memory).
It’s not a spyware, just an antivirus.
Can you say where did you find this link?
Are you saying the official CCleaner download is compromised?
