Hi! ![]()
Can anybody help me, because I have now no life at all ;D ;D My 4 years old nephew wants to play his favourite game and I can not run it because Avast block its executable claiming its a trojan (Win32:Trojano-482 [Trj]). I’m pretty sure it is false-positive because a) google knows nothing about that Trojano-482 b) I’ve deleted entire game’s folder and reinstaled it from freshly downloaded copy - and again Avast says it’s a trojan ???
Some info about Avast: ver 4.1.418 Home Edition, VPS ver. 0441-2 (08.10.2004)
HELP! That little monster’s scream is going to make me mad slowly ;D ;D ;D
It could be a false positive. I would say check it on Jotti. If it is indeed a false positive, please send the file in a password protected zip to virus@avast.com. Mention in the mail that you suspect it to be a false positive and the password ofcourse.
In the mean time you can add it to the exclusion list.
Start the on-acces control panel > standard shield > customize > advanched
Not sure if this is in the home version also, but have a look.
Which game is it? ![]()
That little monster, my nephew’s, but I also love to play it ;)(Kyodai Mahjongg)
BTW: thanks to Eddy (thank You Eddy - I was little blind or rather deaf
and could not find that exclusion list by myself) problem was “workarounded”. But I hope that next VPS update will solve this false update permanently ![]()
Hmm… I’ve made an online scan on page You adviced and only Avast! detect it as infected/malvare. So either Avast is so good
or it is really false positive. Just to be sure I’ll send the file to Avast! team.
P.S. As I replied to RejZoR - thank You for showing me a “quick” solution
P.S. 2 That jotti’s page is very usefull - I didn’t know it before, thanks ![]()
For some reason, Avast detects the file kmj.exe as a virus
Other users have had the same problem and thus far, testing indicates it is a false positive.

As Eddy mentioned, both Home and Pro On Line Scanners do have an exclusion list to which you can add the exact pathway to the exe file for you game.
Have fun
